PacNW Soccer Club was honored to learn that club alumnus Abigail Kim has been called in by U.S. Under-20 Women’s National Team head coach Jitka Klimkova for the 2017 Women's Nike International Friendlies taking place at the Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. The four-team tournament featuring the USA, Brazil, England and Finland will run from Dec. 7-11.
Abi was a stand-out player for the club on the G97 Maroon team, helping her PacNW team win back-to-back state cup championships.
Since graduating from Seattle Christian School, Abi has excelled as a member of the Cal Golden Bears Women's Soccer Team, including being named as Pac-12 Offensive Player for August 2017 after scoring 3 goals over the team's first two games. This is not Abi's first stint with the national team; she has also played with the U-18 Youth National Team.
Abi initially joined our predecessor club (Greater Renton FC) and stayed with PacNW Soccer Club after our merger in 2012, and we are proud to have played a role in the development of this elite-level player.
Well done, Abi! And good luck in Florida - we will be watching!
