PacNW Friday Night Finishing & Goalkeeping

For: Boys and Girls Birth Years 2009-2016

October 4th, 11th, 18th, & 25th

Camp Info

Finishing School will consist of four 75 minute sessions focused on scoring goals.  Players will get lots of repetition from various situations and will focus on the technical and tactical elements of scoring goals:

  • Increase confidence in front of the goal
  • Improve striking technique
  • Create goal-scoring opportunities
  • Master the “attacking third”

Goalkeepers will participate in  four 1 hour and 45 minute sessions. The camp will include individual technical development that covers topics such as:

  • Footwork/Movement
  • Catching high (crosses) and low balls
  • Shot stopping/redirection
  • Diving techniques
  • 1v1’s
  • Ball handling with the feet
  • Distributions (throwing and passing)

Tactical skills each goalkeeper will develop and enhance to improve the way they read the game are:

  • Positioning based on location of the ball (angles)
  • Anticipating ball movement
  • Decisive Decision Making
  • Counterattack Initiation
  • Playing out of the back

Dates: Four Fridays; October 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th

Times: 

  • 2016 – 2013 Birth Years:
    • Goalkeepers 5:30 – 7:15 PM (Check in starts at 5:00)
    • Field Players 6:00 – 7:15 PM (Check in starts at 5:30)
  • 2012 – 2009 Birth Years:
    • Goalkeepers 7:00 – 8:45 PM (Check in starts at 6:30)
    • Field Players 7:30 – 8:45 PM (Check in starts at 7:00)

Location:  Starfire Sports Complex – Field #3

Open to all PacNW and non-PacNW players.  

Cost: 
  • All 3 Sessions $150 – Early Bird price if register by Sunday, September 29th.
    • $175 – starting Monday, September 30th.
  • Single Sessions $40 – Early Bird price if register by Sunday, September 29th.
    • $45 – starting Monday, September 30th.

What to Bring: We ask that each participant bring an age-appropriate soccer ball marked with player name and phone number as well as a water bottle and shin guards.

 

 

PacNW Camp Refund Policy: Refunds will be awarded only when (a) a refund request is made one week prior to the start of the program’s first session; (b) a player is injured and is unable to return to the program (a signed physician’s note required); (c) a family moves beyond a 50-mile radius of Starfire Sports Complex; (d) child is sick or has been exposed to COVID and is unable to attend. All requests must be emailed to .
