RECREATIONAL SOCCER

Operating exclusively in the Federal Way area. Recreational soccer welcomes all players, focusing on fun, teamwork and skill development. Whether you're new to soccer or just looking for a way to have fun with friends, this environment fosters a supportive and non-judgmental space for everyone. It’s the perfect place to learn the basics, improve your skills, and experience a sport centered around friendship, fitness, and fun.

WHAT DOES A SEASON LOOK LIKE?

Players practice 2 nights a week in Federal Way. Times and locations determined by the coach prior to start of practices. U5–U14 games are played on Saturdays. U15 and older games are played on Sundays.

  • U5–U6 (3 aside) Coed teams with a maximum of 6 players on a team

  • U7–U8 (4 aside) with a maximum of 8 players on a team

  • U9–U10 (7 aside) with a maximum of 12 players on a team

  • U11–U12 (9 aside) with a maximum of 14 players on a team

  • U13–U19 (11 aside) with a maximum of 18 players on a team

Coaches and Volunteers

  • All teams are coached by adult volunteers

  • Each team formed must provide at least one coach. If you are interested in coaching, contact Jenna Martinez.

FALL SEASON

  • Registration opens June 1st

  • Registration closes early August

  • U5–U8 Rec Academy Teams – practices start after Labor Day

  • U9-U19 Rec SSUL Teams - practices start end of August

  • First games begin mid September

  • The season runs approximately 10–12 weeks

  • Registration is done online through FederalWaySoccer.com

SPRING SEASON

  • Registration opens December 1st

  • Registration closes end of February

  • U12 and Under: For fall seasons, players will receive 1 jersey, 1 pair of shorts, and 1 pair of socks as their uniform kit. For spring seasons, each player will receive 1 jersey only as their uniform kit. Parents will need to provide shin guards and soccer cleats for both seasons.

    U13-U19: Uniform is purchased separately by each player and is in addition to the cost of the program. The required uniform cost is approximately $100 and includes 2 jerseys, 1 pair of shorts, and 2 pairs of socks. Uniforms are on a two year cycle and are reusable within that cycle. Parents will also need to provide shin guards and soccer cleats for both seasons.

  • Within 10 days of the registration cut off, a full refund minus $25 for processing. More than 10 days after the registration cut off, but before the first game, a 50% refund is provided. If a uniform was provided (U12 and under) the uniform must be returned unworn and in new condition. If the uniform is not returned or has been used or worn, no refund will be granted. After the first game, no refund will be granted.

    Accounts with outstanding balances will have their player suspended from participating in practices and games until resolution in place.

    No Placement - If we cannot place your child on a team due to lack of coaches, then we will provide a full refund.

    • We will do our best to honor one buddy request but it MUST be reciprocated and you MUST be in the same division. 

    • Requests must be made at the time of registration and must be entered into the appropriate field during the registration process. (we will NOT accept requests via email) 

    • Late registrations will be placed on a waiting list. Please note: we do not offer friend or team requests for players coming off of the waiting list.
